Beatservice Records are thrilled to present Ransel's hypnotic rework of Third Attempt's organ-drenched album track, 'Age Of Steam'.

The original version appeared on Third Attempt's sensational log-player, 'The Novel Sound', earlier this year, with its funk-flecked and acid-tinged groove perfectly pitched for remix treatment. Ushered in to take the controls, Øivind 'Kohib' Sjøvoll revisits his new Ransel moniker following his recently released 'Islands' EP, picking up where he left off with this imaginative and typically refined revision.

Torje Fagertun Spilde is one of the most promising breakout acts to emerge from the Norwegian electronic underground in recent times, and 'The Novel Sound' continued his artistic development in breathtaking style. 'Age Of Steam' was one of many highlights, and Ransel wastes no time invigorating the track with some propulsive production finesse. Utilising key organ phrases while stripping back the instrumentation to its barest essentials, his mesmerising interpretation sees the loose-limbed keys saunter over seriously infectious percussion licks. Intricately woven poly-rhythms drive deeply-rooted bass across waves of dubby effects and distant vocal, creating a driving and wildly atmospheric heads-down groove.

Unquestionably deep but endowed with enough energy to move even the most stubborn dancefloors, this gloriously textured club workout provides an irresistible new take on 'Age Of Steam' – and is yet another inspired piece of curation from the Beatservice Records team.
